This summer several teachers, graduate students, an undergraduate student, and some friends went to Vietnam and Cambodia. It was a great trip, filled with lots of sightseeing, in addition to eating, drinking, and meeting locals.
We especially had a wonderful time at Angkor University, where three teachers gave lectures on economic, finance, and English development in Cambodia. The lectures were all in English. It was a fantastic time, and all the students were lively and energetic. They could follow our lectures, and understood our English very well!
In the first part of my lecture, I taught a simple English lesson on self-introductions. The students were able to introduce themselves to the class without a problem. One
student even sang a song for the class, and all the class members joined in!
In the next part of my lecture, I spoke about elevating English ability through business development in Cambodia. I want to find how businesses such as trade and tourism can effect English learning in a developing country. All the students could understand my English!
