Fall into Winter 2010

That post was about Halloween, so let's give the blog an update! It's fall, well, winter again, and that means it is time for good food like nabe, amazing colors, and cool bordering on cold weather. This year it's supposed to be really frigid, so bundle up well.

It's almost Christmas, 2010 and that means it is almost 2011! Wow how time flies. Not sure what my plans are for the upcoming year, but want to keep having a good life as usual!

Hey, see u around. When u have time, give me a comment on the blog!

Ciao. Jeff

Halloweeeeeen

Yes, it's almost time for Halloween again...that means funky and cute costumes. Not sure what to be this year, I think I've been everything there is! Let's see now...

Blogging

This is my post 'bout bloggin'...not sure if I'm a wannabe blogger, but it looks interesting to do, and maybe other people can learn at the same time. I guess it's also for people who want to learn English, or as Japanese people put it, "Eigo." Yep! Let's do that!

I already have some followers and people checking it out. Let's just say it's Jeff's Place to practice the old English!

I'll try to get on some pics and change up the background a bit too. I did that already on the Jeff's World Bar blog. Check that one out too!

Fall Fun!

Hey, it's fall again! 2010 is sure flying by. At the end of this month is Halloween, and it should be a fun time for all! Don't forget to dress up in your favorite costumes just for fun. What should I be this year? Last year I was a vampire, this year, maybe something very scary! Heheh

Summer Vacation 2010

This summer vacation was very busy for me! I went to Cambodia for two weeks with my family, at first. We went to the southern resort town of Sihanoukville, and stayed in a lovely resort for 4 days. There we went fishing, snorkeling, and swimming in the sea and in the lovely pool. We also ate a lot of good food!

After Sihanoukville we went to Siem Reap to see Angkor Wat. We stayed in a nice hotel and went sightseeing in Angkor Wat for 3 days. It was very beautiful.

My family then returned to Japan, but I stayed in Siem Reap to do research and to attend a conference in Siem Reap. The conference was for the establishment of the Angkor University Research Center for Economic Development, established jointly between Angkor University and Kumagaku. I gave a presentation on my research on generating income increase and jobs with English in tourist industry. I also acted as MC. It was a busy day, and after that I returned to Japan.

Away, Away, but Now Back

Yesterday was the Fujisakigu Festival, also known as the Drunken Horse Festival (and known in the past as the boshita matsuri), here in Kumamoto. It was a great show this year as always. You know, I always think, gosh, I've seen this festival so many times, maybe it'll be boring. But as soon as I start watching it, I'm turned the other direction. I get intrigued and can't stop watchin! And otsukare to those who were IN the festival, man, it ain't no easy feat dancin and marchin (and drinkin) all day long in a semi-hot environment. More power to ya!
